Making a Purchase

Simply select your items and fill out the checkout form. After you click ‘Place Order’, you’ll be redirected to a secure payment page (PayPal or Stripe) to complete your purchase with a credit or debit card.


Order Modifications and Cancellations

Adding Items

Once an order has been placed, we are unable to add or charge for additional items. If your order has not yet been processed, we can cancel it so you can place a new one that includes the additional items. Please note: we cannot cancel or amend an order that is already in processing.

Cancelling an Order

To cancel an order, email info@orkneyperfumery.co.uk with ‘Cancel My order’ in the subject line as soon as possible after placing your order. This is the only way we can accept a cancellation.

We cannot cancel an order that has already been processed, as it will have been packaged and booked for courier service. If this is the case, you will need to return the parcel using our normal returns procedure.


Delivery Information

Delivery Address

Please ensure you enter your full delivery address, including the postcode. We are not responsible for items that are not delivered due to incorrect details.

Incorrectly Addressed Packages

You are responsible for ensuring your address is accurate. We are not liable for lost or returned parcels caused by an incorrect address and will not refund lost orders. Any additional return charges or reshipping costs are your responsibility.


Order Processing and Delivery Times

Processing

We aim to process orders within 24 hours of receipt, but this can take up to 48 hours during busy periods. Orders placed after 10 a.m. on Friday may not be processed until the following Monday. We do not process orders on weekends, bank holidays, or during our advertised holidays.

Estimated Delivery Times

Delivery timescales are estimates, not guarantees. Please be patient and allow extra time before contacting us about a late parcel.

  • Royal Mail 1st Class: Aims to deliver the next working day, but not a guaranteed service.
  • Royal Mail 2nd Class: Aims to deliver within three working days, but not a guaranteed service.
  • Couriers: Aims to deliver within 3 to 5 working days (does not include weekends).

We cannot accept responsibility for late deliveries or refund postage on delayed parcels. We will only issue replacements or refunds for lost items after 10 working days have passed, as per Royal Mail’s policy.

Tracking and Unattended Deliveries

It is your responsibility to track your own parcels. We do not track them for you.

If you request that a parcel be left with a neighbor or in a specific location, neither we nor the courier can be held responsible if the item goes missing.


Coupon Code Terms

Coupon codes cannot be used on sale items or combined with other offers. They have no cash value. If a return is made on an item purchased with a coupon, your account will be credited only for the amount you paid.
